38. A meaningless Advice

A Meaningless Advice

There was a big tree by the side of a road. The passer-by took rest when they felt tired going through in front of it. In the summer heat, the shade of the tree is very cool and it is very necessary to the passer-by. They felt very comfortable sitting under the shed of the big tree.  The tree had many big branches. It spreads its branches around him. Building nests many birds lived there very comfortably.

One day when it was raining cats and dogs, a wet monkey took shelter under the tree. The birds saw it and took pity on him. Then the birds told him to build some places to live comfortably. He did not like the advice. So, hearing the advice, the monkey became very angry.

Soon after when the rain stopped, the monkey climbed the tree and spoiled all the nests of the birds. After that, the birds realized that their good advice went in vain.

37. About Rain

About Rain

Today is a rainy day. It has been raining since morning. No people can go out without an umbrella. It has been drizzling since dawn. The road and footpath are muddy. Bikes, rickshaws, cycles, and other transport are running on the muddy road very carefully. People are also walking on the road very safely. Sometimes the drizzling turn into heavy rain. Most shopkeepers do not open their shops due to rain. The rickshaw pullers drive their rickshaw without passengers. They do not get passengers for rain. The day laborers do not join their work. They spend their time gossiping. On a rainy day, students do not go to their school. They enjoy the day playing football in the rain. They wet in the rain. They don't listen to their parents forbid. The officials also do not go to their offices. They spend their time with their family. On this day most of the family cook hotchpotch with meat. They eat the food with pleasure. Sometimes they play cards with their family members. In playing cards sometimes they take tea, biscuits, and other snacks. Some people smoke freely on this day.

Rain gives us pleasure. When the rain falls our feelings grow. Our mind becomes full of enjoyment. When the raindrops touch our body then we dance with joy. Human beings and other animals feel fresh. They thank the creator for the falling rain. The rainfall decreases the heat of the sun on earth. The plants get new life. They become fresh and cheerful.

Rain is important to us. In our agriculture rain plays an important role. The farmers of our country depend on rain for their cultivation. In the season of planting paddy, they will wait for rain like a beggar. They pray to the creator for rain. When the rain starts to fall they begin to plant paddy with a laughing face. Then there is no time to them for gossiping, playing, and even smoking. They do only work and work. They work arm to arm with each other for producing more rice.

When the rain falls day after day, the fields, ditches, rivers, and canals fill up with water. Then the plant of the paddy goes under water. It is very harmful to the farmers.

Heavy rainfall causes floods. Flood is one of the most dangerous natural disasters in our country. When a flood occurs most of the area of our country is flooded. About 90% of people in the country suffer from floods. They have to go away from their living home for saving their lives. Their domestic animals such as cows, goats, buffalo, horses, hens, and ducks die due to floods.

Rainfalls have merit and demerit. We like it very much. Though flood is created by rainfall then we love rain and rain.
